In 1970 at the ago of 20, while stationed with the US Air Force on the Island of Taiwan, I began my martial arts journey by studying Shi-Dau-Kwang also known as the White Crane style. I spent two years studying Shi-Dau-Kwang before being transferred to Denver, Colorado. While in Colorado I trained in the art of Ka-Ju-Ken-Bo or Won-Hop-Kuen-Do.
In 1974, I moved back home to the New Jersey and New Your area and continued training. During this time, I began to teach at the YMCA and started to master the art of Tai-Chi.
I moved to Florida in 1976 where I began training in Searcy’s American Kenpo (S.A.K.) where I now hold the Rank of 4th Don and Master Instructor. I have helped in the training of nine world champions in sparring, forms and weapons.
In 2003 I was the first place winner and world champion in soft style forms at the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame held in Houston, Texas.
